For 59 minutes and 58 seconds, things looked promising for the DC native as he battled back-and-forth with the man taken behind him by the Washington Commanders in the NFL Draft in April.

Then disaster struck for the Gonzaga College graduate.

With two seconds left in the came and the Commanders in their own half of the field, Jayden Daniels ran right, he ran left, squared up and heaved the ball 60 yards, and into the waiting arms of Noah Brown in the end zone after it was tipped by defenders.

Williams and the Chicago Bears, 15, Commanders, 18.

The first overall pick finished with just 10 completions on 24 attempts for 131 yards, with no touchdowns or interceptions. He was overshadowed by Daniels, who compiled 326 yards in the air to go with 52 on the ground.
